The Center for Food Safety held its fall Safe Foods Forum in late September. Participants involved scientists and officials from the CDC and the CFS Board of Advisors.

Meeting highlights included discussions on current issues facing the food industry such as supply change disruptions and the latest industry initiatives on food safety culture and regulatory framework. CDC officials shared the latest advances and trends on outbreaks and on several of their initiatives intended to prevent foodborne diseases.

The forum gave participants the opportunity to network with and learn from their peers about how to face ongoing challenges within the food industry.

The next Safe Foods Forum will take place in March of 2023 immediately prior to the CFS Annual Meeting.

Next year marks the 30th anniversary of CFS. In addition to presentations on current areas of food safety, the Annual Meeting will also include a look back at the history and impact of CFS.

Both events are by invitation only. More information will be sent out to invited guests in the coming months.
